There is no further news regarding the Council’s Masterplan. A petition has been started, regarding this, by Pat Jones. As a member of the PHA Committee she contacted the Chair to ask permission to organise this. The Chair could not give his permission as this is not a PHA petition; rather it has been started in her capacity as a member of the public. A copy has been requested for the Secretary and Chair, just so that the Association has knowledge of the detail in it. To date, this has not been forthcoming. The Chair explained that if any member of the committee is questioned about this petition, our stance is that it is not a PHA petition. It has been organised by two members of the public. Secretary
The Easter event was a great success, again. Feedback has been received from the public regarding the variety of chocolate prizes for the Children’s quiz. There were also requests to change from a quiz to another activity for children. Several people thought the cost of refreshments was expensive and that the cups for tea/coffee were very small for the price charged. AGREED: to ensure that all children receive the same prize and to consider an alternative activity for next year, possibly along the lines of activities available in WWT Llanelli such as hunting for clues in various locations. We will trial disposable cups in the next event and revert to the original charges for refreshments. A cheque for £25 has been received from the Town Mayor following his attendance at the Easter event CCC has extended the deadline for expressions of interest for managing activities on the ground floor of the Mansion House to 15th May 2017 Secretary has spoken to an officer from the Heritage Lottery Fund regarding the Bandstand.
