PARC HOWARD ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE MEETING
TUESDAY, 11TH OCTOBER 2016 AT 6PM IN CCC TOWN HALL, LLANELLI

2. Minutes of the Committee Meeting held on 13th September 2016
These were accepted as an accurate record.
3. Matters arising from these minutes
Point 3: Liz Purcell has agreed to be Webmaster
Point 5: Secretary has emailed Paul Murray to pursue our support for financing
aspects of the Parc.
Point 7: LTC meeting. Cllr. Bill Thomas raised the matter of CCC’s Masterplan for
Parc Howard and spoke at length on the matter. In view of his concerns
regarding how this was being managed, he suggested that the
Association write to the local Assembly Member regarding the matter.
The Chair suggested a meeting with the Leader, Cllr. Emlyn Dole, to
‘clear the air’. Cllr. Clive Thomas expressed his concerns about how CCC
was proceeding with the Masterplan. Other views expressed were that,
we should exercise care with this matter, as the Parc Howard Association
is a voluntary group which works to support the Parc in a constructive
way and not a pressure group.
Cllr. Bill Thomas suggested scrutinising the Masterplan document from
the Council’s Executive Board meeting on 26th July 2016, pulling out the
relevant points with legal support to do this. He will photocopy it tomorrow
and send it to the Secretary.
Point 8: Secretary has spoken to a member of staff in the Mansion House
regarding re-establishing the sale of the PHA Centenary Book. Advised
that Mansion House staff are not allowed to accept money for such
books. This is contrary to the policy for selling Philip Thomas’ book,
where CCC sells them and PHA invoices for payment.
