Fallen Tree Update

A survey of the tree that fell on 03 August 2009 has revealed that it had been subject to the honey fungus Armillaria mellea.

Severe leaning, evidence of the wood-rotting fungus ganoderma and Dutch elm disease has prompted Carmarthenshire Council to chop down a further five trees in the area. The work will be carried out in the next few weeks.

A full survey is also being carried out in Parc Howard itself.
